Description: A ground up restoration was completed on this West-Coast Chevy 3/4 Ton in 1996. The entire truck was disassembled and redone by a professional classic car restorer. The engine was changed to a 1954 Chevy 235 6-cylinder car engine with hydraulic lifters and a full oil pressure system. The engine was completely rebuilt by a professional engine rebuilder. The head was done so unleaded fuel could be used. All new springs, wheel cylinders, brake pads, brake lines and gas lines were replaced on the chassis to original specs. The original pickup had 8 lug split rim wheels and a 4.57 gear ratio rear-end which was changed to a 1964 Chevy 1/2 Ton with a 3.73 gear ratio and stock 1950 1/2 Ton 6 lug wheels. The front spindles were changed to 1/2 Ton spindles to use matching 1/2 Ton wheels up front. The pick-up bed was done with new oak and finished with Teak oil. All the chrome and bumpers were redone in top show-quality chrome. The seat was redone by a classic car upholstery shop with new padding in the original stitching pattern. The truck has won numerous awards at West Coast car shows. The truck has only been driven only to car shows and for occasionally short drives on sunny days. The rest of the time it is covered in the garage. The truck has approximately 2500 miles since the total restoration.
